Welcome to my web page at Glendale Community College. My educational and professional background is as follows:
I received a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1965 with a major in Spanish and a minor in English.
In 1964, during my junior year at Santa Barbara, I spent a year studying at Madrid University and received a certificado de estudios.
I received my M.A. and high school teaching certificate from Stanford in 1966 with a major in Education and a minor in Spanish.
I taught high school Spanish for five years before coming to Phoenix, Arizona in 1973.
From 1973 to 1986, I taught part time at various campuses of the Maricopa Community College district.
I have been teaching ESL and Spanish here at GCC since 1986. My students come from all over the world. Currently, we have 45 countries represented here at the college.
