Miscellaneous Goodies - Az@Oz

The "Penguin Parade" at Phillip Island was probably the funniest and happiest thing I have ever experienced.  At sunset in groups of 20 to 100, about 1000 penguins would swim & stumble to the edge of the beach, they would "collect" themselves and then charge up the beach to the sand dunes.  They would then walk (waddle) individually or in very small groups and look for a nice spot to spend the night and usually return to the ocean at 4 am.   Golf with Ken at Wagga Wagga Country Club was a pleasure - it is where the great Steve Elkington learned to play. No photos of my one over par round at Thurgoona golf course with the CSU folks Rob, Jeff, Brian and Leslie.  (They said that in order for me to return to CSU, I will have to give them golf lessons!  Great idea!!)  Beechworth was one of our group stops on the way to our footy Melbourne weekend.  The red gum tree woodshop in the great "city" of Culcairn.  Boomerangs!!  Yarangabilli Caves were terrific and we saw thousands of wild kangaroos from the road there south of Tumut.  No photos of the Clydesdale horse farm.  Soveriegn Hill in Ballarat.  Willam Ricketts Sanctuary in the Dandenongs.  The radio interview about the internet with Edwina - you are the greatest!  A couple shots of me.
